I froze making this picture. Winter is coming too soon in Wisconsin

My first thought: Man, that is somewhere I'm glad I ain't! Blessed with some unseasonably warm temps in my area right now.
Might want to re-crop. I can see where it's missed in the upper right corner. Just a sliver, but nevertheless...

Interesting scene with nice detail in the foreground.
I wish there were more detail preserved along the distant shore.
Quite a bit of halo-ing around the water tower. Some of the lighter areas in the ice, rooftop look liike they have been expanded and taken a bit too far.
I'd like to see this one again, but with some change in the processing (which, thankfully, can and should be done inside )

Thanks both of you for critical eye. I will re-crop and reprocess trying not to do so much "damage"

As usual, I tend to get carried away in the post precessing

Thanks again!

Well, here is one that isn't so... modified. I'm not sure I like it better.

Monty(?),
I think there is room in between the two images. I'd bump the contrast, bring out some shadow detail in the far shore, do a bit of dodging and burning, rotate the horizon down on the right. Happy to show you a quick re-work to illustrate, or email you.

Scott,
Go for it! I would love to see what a person with experience can do!

Here's a LR edit.
See what you think.
If you like it, I'd be happy to send you the adjustments used.

Scott,
DId I take that picture or is this one you took.
I am amazed so much detail was in the image. I would LOVE to see (and study) the modifications. You have really brought out so much in this picture.
Thanks

Tom,
Thanks. It is a great image that just needed to be optimized.
