Given it's getting close to the end of the year it might be time to start reflecting on the best shot we have taken in 2008.

Mine was of a Rainbow Bee Eater with Dragonfly. This image ended up winning this years Australian Photographic Society Award.

You're running a bit early on this Wayne and it's also usually Laura's job to start the best of thread each year. However, at the risk of being left out....

My best - hardly. Let's call it one of my best and one of my favorites. Shot this while out stalking Bolsa Chica with my buddy Ken H. one early morning...

I am sitting out on this one. Waiting for the official "best of 2008" from Laura Hughes.

I'm not sure if it's my best, but it's certainly my favorite of this year. A juvenile peregrine, only several weeks after it was banded, along the Palisades Cliffs. I have a 12x18 portrait crop of this one up on my wall.

Great work everyone.
I have to say some of my favorites were BIF's with prey, but the day with the baby Bobcats is irreplacable, so I picked this one for favorite of '08. This was difficult lighting extremely bright and hot outside, and they were in dead shade. I was pleased these turned out at all.
