Hi everyone,

Looking for people with first-hand experience using the Tronix Explorer XT with Elinchrom RX monoblocs. I'd be using it with either the RX600 or the RX1200 head, most of the time just the one head connected to the Tronix pack.

I'd like to know what the recycle times are, and whether your experiences have been good. I'd like to know these things before I part with my hard-earned cash for the Elinchrom Ranger!

Nope. Went past GO and collected $200.

Haven't looked back.

Good luck.

I was afraid you might say that.

I used a 600RX with the Vagabond II, which IMO is a much nicer and better inverter than the Tronix by many means:
-warranted
-90 day return guarantee
-much more flexible, replaceable battery
-comes with car charger
-can mount to lightstand
-can run off car battery if needed
-based in USA (not a plus for you I guess)

Same price, but a much better inverter IMO.

+10 for the search tool, this question probably comes up atleast 2 times a week these days :|

I am using the explorer XT with four inyerfit strobes. 600WS, 300 WS 2 150 WS. The recycle time is identical to waht I get on AC plug. Slow!!! since interfit min recycle time is 2 to 3 seconds!
