hella nice people! shannon is a school teacher and her husband, chris, is a professional bassist! they totally rocked.

the little girl was so shy when I got there. she wasn't all that thrilled about a camera in her face - until I gave her my camera (she was 4...I think?) and let her take some snaps of myself. her mom said I was crazy for trusting her but gaining her trust was more important to me than some gear.

all shot with a 40D, 24-70 f/2.8L (tradin' for a 35L) and a 70-200 f/2.8L IS.

on to some samples:

the PP on the last one is some of the worst i've seen, ever. the rest is coo though. way too much sharpening also if you look at the trees and bokeh there is some pretty bad posterization.

yeah . i messed that up.

over-sharpening is from flickr's downrezzing.

compare the second to last to this:
