Another I processed from the shoot with Melanie.

This was an effort to get the pose leading the eye in to the photo. I tried it with legs crossed in either direction and I think this one worked better. Curious what you all have to say. Good crit on the last one.

Much thanks

Something about the way that her eyes are showing up are a little creepy, almost like they are all white. Chin also seems a little too high for me. Interesting shot overall.

Great photo location, but the legs not working for me,seems unnatural and over posed with her legs that way, try moving her standing, laying on her back pointing away from you. These are things that I would try. This place is really nice to keep working on..

good luck

This one is better that the previous nude that you recently posted. It works for me and it is already at the level of good fine art nude photography (I'm not an expert, only an amateur).

Some considerations from my very own point of view :

As on the previous one, and perhaps more, the BW processing is great. Deap blacks, good greys details, ... woaww. I whish to have same results on my pictures.

At the first time the direction of her eyes is quite disturbing. But as your picture is well composed (some comments below we take more time to look, to "de-code" the composition, to understand. So looking on the water, we climb the waterfall and come back on the model ... I asked myself why ... and find that's because the vertical construction helped by the ligth rays ... and she's looking in the same axis that the rays ... so looking to the light source. So the eyes direction and the compo are OK.

About the pose. The arms and shoulders are symmetric. I preferred an arm trying to catch the light or the hand in the neck. The foot position is extremely good, in the direction of the falling water and so extending the body size in the picture, but the leg "breaks" the general feeling by the angle. I searched to find what other position should be ok in this case and I understand that there's a to be a leg to hide the private woman parts. If you have the opportunity to shoot on the same location, try to put the model more on the stoned step, downstairs, more "included in the water". So doing you will get an over-body-extension, empowering the eyes expression by the arced body. It's also a way to solve the "hide-those-private-parts" by water and to enhance the model breasts beauty.

Hope my comments helps.

Thank you all for the crit. I will semi agree with the eyes. I think I am going to start working with closed eyes on my models. I have a few like that from the shoot. Takes out that possibility.

y_v - thank you very much again for the detail. i wouldnt say a leg was needed to hide her crotch but I was going for more of a flow with the legs and the water. i will experiment more in this area next time. it was our last area to explore as we worked our way up stream closer to the falls. very moist area there and had to keep the filter dry!

thanks all!!

Works much better than the first one. Love the light that seems to be falling from the sky. What is it ?
