Here's the red tailed hawk whom hunts from the telephone wires and as of late from the ground too. Fresh snow was on the ground already, when some more came down to add to the mood. shot at iso 1600 and 2500.

#7 hunting from a raised lump

#8 flyby blue heron, he was hunting rodents too off the path. I don't have too many flight shots of them in the snow.

what lens/aperature combo are you using in the first series? it appears to have a bit of CA. have you tried lightroom defringe or another similar process, it might help

Herb those are simply amazing shots. Most of them could be paintings. Absolutely stunning, extremely well done. Love to have some of those on my wall.

EF 500 f4 L IS lens with 1.4x extender, aperature was 5.6 and 6.3 on the first three. I'm not aware of this combo having CA problems, but I know on an overcast day with any serious crop will bring them up more. I don't use lightroom, just CS2 and CS3. Thanks,
