Great looking series there Mr. Zoom. # 9 is my favorite--I am partial to habitat shots --and that is one!
You are making me want that 500mm lens soooo bad. Gads------
Beautiful stuff!

Glad you spotted #9, Bonnie. I had to wiat a bit for it to walk in front of that tree and there were few opportunities like that one to exploit.

With regards to your 500mm lens envy, sorry, can't help. I went through a very long period of therapy to try to avoid the purchase and finaly just caved in - there is no cure

I really like the Snow Geese "progression". Unique.

Thanks for sharing and showing

Thanks Mike. Don't know where I got the progression idea from - just popped into my head

thanks for the pics. something to try-- crop out the birds on the ground on #5. the simplicity might calm or focus the wonderful madness of the shot. (i do love it btw) i do like the ground birds in #3 though...

thx again. --rowdy

Thanks Rowdy, a good suggestion. The static burds on the ground add little value to this shot and your crop ID is a valid one. Glad you enjoyed!

I've *always* wondered that! Thanks so much for explaining the snow process, Ken - you're amazing Your captured snow flakes are very cool - and no two are alike! Those Sandhill Cranes aren't too bad, either.

Maggie,

There's never been any doubt that I'm amazing

You would be surprised at how many people have never experienced snow and I felt this an important contribution to their education. Mr. Zoom - the teacher

Ken I have had the pleasure of snow geese (see attached). The unfortunate part is here in PA, the SG are only in Middlecreek PA in late Feb and early March and it is cold, cold, cold.

Love your snow geese Ken. Exceptional work. That forces me back to the interior of PA in early March. Dagnabit Ken!

It's ok, Ted. I am willing to accept the blame on this one . I do hope you get a chance at them as it is quite a sight to see and an even better one to shoot if you have the opportunity.

Beautiful shot, Ted. We're fortunate here in So. Cal. we can travel to the Salton Sea out in the desert and get access to them - about a 2 hour drive one way. Might try that during the holiday vacation.

Thank Vivek, the whole trip to New Mexico was a great experience. Between the Sandhill Cranes and the Snow Geese it's a target rich enviroment
