Slow day, had to shoot somethin' since I've been informed sandhills are for sissy's.
Probably belongs elsewhere but this is my home and some slack may be cut. If not...
there's a rope and do what you must.
D300 200-400 f4 VR 'monkified Bushhawk. Thx!

Nice action TM! Great color, they all have rich deep colors. I know shooting this kind of stuff isn't as easy as it looks. Great work.

Sandhills? Yeah, you aren't a man until you've had a portrait session with a yeti. (Bring your posing table)

These are such cool shots, Will. I haven't been to a rodeo in decades and these shots brought back some great memories. Wish I could have seen the final takedown, following that second and third shot. All shots are great but the second and third shot may be my all time favorite TrenchMonkey shots (as they are that good and I love the subject matter). Simply awesome action sequence!

Appreciate it, Tim. Slow day for BIF in 'monkeytown, heard the PA from the river and decided
to fire of a few. Got some funny looks and "is that a telescope?" comment. Love it!

Actually it was for "horse in flight" but do like heffer's better! Medium rare! (kidding, Lil)

Old west photog to couple of cowboys..."do you want that framed or mounted?" Cowboy says
"no, just holding hands." DOH! Thanks, Karl!

Thanks Ant, freakin' hunters! Couple of yahoos spooked a RTH I was stalkin'..."water ya shootin'
with that thing?" as the RTH flies away. Nuthin' guys ...just out for the fresh 22 degree air. Doh!

Wow, thanks David! Rope landed on the back for a "no time" in the last sequence. Very happy with
the D300 AF on the few I shot. Was at the far end by the holding pen and saw parents starting to head
on over my way...got the hell outta there, quick!

Sissy Monkey,

Anyone can sit in the bleachers and shoot baby cows and cow kids. It takes a real man to brave the freezing cold and shoot Sandys out at the Wacky Monkey Observation Fork.

From a purly technical perspective these are right fine
