Tim the only way it could be better is if he had a band wonderful photo

Thanks Lou! Most of the eagles I see around here are not banded. That may be odd as this one has a nest in a residential neighborhood.

Tim

I guess your State don't have a banding program. You could ask the F&W service about it and see what they say.

Beautiful setting Tim....that must have been a breath holding vision.
I have ever only seen one eagle, well actually 2.....one way off in a tree one day and one at the zoo.

I addition to Socrate's suggestion, I often use 12/50/0 USM for medium and 6/50/0 USM for light contrast enhancement.....try those too on "any" images

Dave, your first sentence sums it up nicely, it was.

Thanks for the words and the tip, I have been experimenting with that now and it sure is a great tool to have in the box.

Not that you need any more ego stroking on this one, Tim, but those are some really cool shots. I like the mise-en-scene from the second shot, personally.

Wow, this was a gift. There is just no substitute for being there. And, you were able to bring it back and show the rest of us -- thank you!

Andrew thanks my ego can use a good pet now and again. I should spend some time on the the second one and make a nice shot out of it.

Yes Maggie, it was me and the eagle. Just sitting and looking. It was amazing.

Thanks so much.

Tim this is beautiful!

Thanks for including the 24mm shot.... Isn't it awesome to just drift and listen to the silence (or, lack of human sounds anyways) in those little boats?

Thanks for sharing.
