After driving by this old car parked in this guys front yard for months, I spotted him in his yard working on it, so I pulled over and asked him if I could take some shots of it. He first was a little suspicious of me but got a little freindlier after I told him I would drop off a print for him if I got some good shots. The first shot is when he was still a little suspicious of who I was, and why I would want a picture of his old car. Verno

Nice work. It looks like LucisArt or HDR, but without any movement from the man in the shot. Care to tell about your post work? Thanks.

The man with the suspenders just make the photo real. Kind of a Norman Rockwell feel. GG

Vern you have got a great eye for an old piece of art Very cool, and a neat feel to both of these and I think I prefer the first shot for the added depth and the owner in the BG. Nice shots

When I asked this fella if I could take some photos of his beloved old Chevy, I really wanted to get him in some of the shots. The first one is the one I printed for him. When I dropped the print off at his house two weeks later, he wasn't home, but his wife said her husband had mentioned that," some photographer guy had stopped by to take pictures of his old car, said he would bring a picture by of it." She told me he didn't think I would be back. Two days later he phoned me and thanked me for the print, and said I could come by anytime to take some shotsof his old car and have a beer with him as well. Verno

Thanks so much Karl. I have a lot of shots of this old Chevy but they are just variations on the theme. The first is my fav. as well. I'd like to say that I planned this shot, but in truth, he just flat out didn't trust me, and was walking around his beloved Chevy as I was taking shots. I was just lucky, to get a shot of him looking at me with a pensive look. Verno

Sounds like an offer to not refuse. Great shots with an opportunity for more.

Hi Susi. Your so right, this fella told me had owned this car for 30 some years, and after he warmed up to me, we had a really cool conversation that afternoon. He had a couple of other old vehicles on his property that I will post shots of later. Verno

Hey Dan, nice to hear from you, I've really enjoyed seeing your images on N&W. He's got a couple of other old vehicles on his property and they all had a story, he was a very interesting guy. Verno
