I decided to do some further testing off the 50d on the little guys in the backyard in order to hone my skills before heading out needing them!! The sun was rising and the sky was partly cloudy making for variable conditions. There never really was as much light as I would have liked, what better real life way to test higher ISO shooting? |

Nice, Tim. Clean and low noise, especially considering these ISO's. Astounding how much progress has been made. |

I see you are having a similar experience to mine on the higher end. Excellent test subjects with excellent results my friend |

Now, Tim, you tell me: isn't more fun to shoot the pretty little ones rather than those ugly old ducks? |

Looks like you have the 50D tuned in. all are nice, but the detail in 3 & 4 is great ~ Ron |

Nice, great detail and color. You're smart to get it together before going out to "need" the skills. |

These are pretty impressive given the conditions and settings used, Tim. So, what will you do if you're shooting in the shade on moment at ISO 2000 and in bright light the next moment? I would think you would max out the shutter speed in bright light at that setting and risk underexposing the next shot. Is the ISO accessable via an accessable button for quick adjustments on the 50D? |

Thanks for these Tim, very impressive. Nice to see what that new camera is able to do in capable hands. Hope it can handle ducks out of the yak. |
