...from these few months. Each and every 1 of them has something I don't like..blown whites, too centered, bad angle, too many branches etc etc
that's why I've been keepin'em in darkness for so long...they suck bottom level here guys
the only thing that never lacks out of my photos (even bad 1's) is detail...maybe i'm onto something w my current PP...and it ain't Chad's action no CS3 either (I sharpen in DPP)
1. Indian Blue Peacock male (Pavo cristatus)

4. I have no idea what this is

5. Tryed to recover some whites here but still too bad, it was a good one..it had potential until Nello came around and screw up the exposure so bad

6. too many branches...I actually already cloned 1 coming right out of his butt

7. Mario the Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea):

3 and 5 are very nice, just raise the black point a wee bit.
#6 is razor sharp might reduce sharpening a bit

thanks for sharing

You are just killing me here Nello

That is so nice of you to share the 'bottom' of the barrel with us, I see how we rate now buddy So what is it that you like so much about #7

IMO, there is some elegance and quality in each, your style still shows through, and I think #6 is so darn good that the branches are acceptable, that is some fine PP (CS3) exif #4 rocks, nothing wrong with that, just needs to stick its tongue out for you You made my day..........I look forward to a day of post your wing clips, bet we can fill up many pages very quickly!

Thanks, you made my day today

They all lack DETAIL!!!!

Nice garbage buddy, yeah most have an issue but I they are still good. Not your best but pretty damn good.

3 is my favorite, love the style of the shot, might be the classiest thing here. 2 has wonderful symmetry.

Nice job on all of these. They are all your style except for the lack of butts.

You're right Nello, you do capture an pp the detail most excellently. The feather detail in #6 is unreal. Nice job.

I actually like #5 The fine detail make up for the blown higlights. Funny pose those two swans Looks like they got theyr foot stuck in the iced pond and can't get it un-stuck I also like # 3 eventhough the vertical crop looks a bit tight on it. Very sharp detail in # 6

Nuthin nasty about these leftovers Nello #6 "tack" sharp doesn't seem to cover it. I'm gonna go with Japanese steel folded 200 times razzor sharp, excellent!!

#5 is superb and like Dave said just hit the black level a touch

#3 sweet exposure control and cool pose

Great work Nello

Mello Nello...

I loves leftovers... Pizza, Orange Chicken, Tamales, and especially Nello shotz.

Love the synchronicity in #2
Awesome detail in #4
#5 is my fave, too bad about the blown HL's, but still very cool image man.
#6 is my fave too , fantastic color, and unbelievable detail.

I wish my leftovers looked half this good.

Nello,
You are just being a perfectionist, I don't think that there is one of us out here that thinks
there isn't something wrong or could have been better with 99.9% of their shots. I will
get a great picture then start to think about it and start talking to myself saying only if...
Well these are nice and thanks for sharing.

These are some sweet leftovers, 5 looks like an impossible situation to shoot without losing some areas detail in either the black or white.

Sir Dave you're right....i'm starting to think my laptop's lcd needs a recalibration. Blacks look different here on my work monitor
yeah #6 was more of an experiment..."let's see how much detail I can pull out"

#6 exif's shows CS3 'cause I had to clone the branch comin' out his a$$ otherwise I'm not even opening CS3 anymore. good thing it's free...and don't act like you don't know what I mean
Yeah #4 it's not that bad...guess that's because it was just standing still for so long that I actually had time to think what I'm doin'
Glad you didn't trashed me like a rag doll
