This is part two of the senior shoot I agreed to do for a friend last weekend.

Two lights - 1 octagonal softbox front and just off center to his left, 1 vivitar 285 hv, snooted for a hair light.

Three reflectors - one laying on a table in front, one on each side.

Back drop was a blanket draped over a wide screen tv 6 ft. behind him

I like # 1 and 5

a hint of smile in one would be a welcome contrast

2 and 3 seem not as sharp

and a redhead in B/W seems a waste

Thanks for the comments.

I probably should have stopped down a touch more, these were at f3.2. In 2 and 3 his right eye is sharp, the left softens.

I really liked the contrast of the red hair on the black backgroound. Only tried the B&W as his mother commented how much he hated having red hair.

He did not want to smile, and when he did, it seemed quite forced. This was about as close as I got.

just curious why you would have to open that wide (f/3.2) in a light-controlled setting
