This is Steph, a friend of mine. She loves to have her picture taken and I love to take photos and am trying to learn and improve so we have MANY photos for practice. I am looking for critique to improve my photoraphy and, of course, if I get something correct a little encouragement wouldn't hurt ... She is about the only willing model I have.

These were taken in a park near my home with off-camera hot shoe flash.

Hi,

My Simple Suggestions:

1. Try some images where she is not looking at the camera (I did read your comment in earlier post).

2. Avoid cutting the chin.

3. Avoid having hands enter the image as shown in last pic.

I hope these comments and suggestions help you.

#1 - We have some of those.

#2 - Will watch that in the future. Is it ok to crop top of head or should all of head always show?

#3 - So if the hand is visible in the photo then the whole arm should be visible?

Thanks for your time and comments.
