My first post in this board. I started to learn about flash photography. I must say it has been fun. Here is one of my favorite subjects. What do you think?

Nice lighting and DOF.

I'd like to see it larger (maybe 800 pixels long edge).
As is, looks great!

I like this image. Personally, if it was mine I'd use the clone tool to remove the orange band below his lower lip and clean-up the frayed lower left collar edge. I'd crop it a little and apply the unsharp mask to make it pop.

Nice shot. What about cropping a little off the right hand side? It would get rid of that brown corner, which is a little distracting and get him out of the center of the frame. I am on my laptop right now, so a little hard to tell, but do you still have any detail in the shadows on the underside of his hat? If you are printing this you might want to watch that there is still some detail there. Eyes too? they look like they could use a touch of lightening to keep detail.

Now there is a young man with personality. Minor this and that but a fine picture, well done.

I like it. Nice colors, interesting, good focus and nice depth with bokeh.

For me it is too centred and you should crop lots off right and rotate so he does not seem like he is leaning back so much.
