I was shooting the harbor and noticed her sitting on the ledge.

Hahaha...sometimes it pays to turn around.

Great colors and composition. Is that a real hat box next to her? Must be an east coast thing.

Have you tried sepia or black and white? I think it looks great.
Spent about 5 minutes in Photoshop dodging and burning then doing the conversion and a levels adjustment.

I like it..thanks for the suggestion...I am pretty new at this "stuff".

Digigirl, I think she was an "ad" for the hat shop a few blocks away...she was just sitting there and not moving.

Interesting and appealing shot in part because you don't often see young women in hats. I'm guessing the round thing is the box for the hat which adds a bit more interest to the visual narrative.

That said I suggest you handle the cropping / processing of the image differently. The skin tones on the legs are blown out in all the channels and the face and eyes are hidden in shadows. The background and shadows are bit to light and have a greenish/blue color cast. The space past the railing to the right throws off the balance of what would otherwise be a very nice centered composition conveying a sense of self assurance. Here's an idea of where you might take it in color with PP :

Thanks for the suggestions..I am pretty new at this..Removal of the greenish cast and the tighter crop is especially helpful..I can't decide about the lighter face..My sense of aesthetics is still pretty primitive.
