I took this of myself (timer) about two months ago. I had fun planning and doing this. I tried to make myself look as crazy as possible with the hair, the creased shirt, neatness of the table, the stare and the pictures, I even added dirt to my nails which is a bit hard to see.
I used dodge and burn tools, texture for the wall, lots of curves, levels, hue/sat and what ever worked at the time.
It took about 3 hrs.

I think this is very cleverly done, great execution of the concept! There does seem to be a bit of a halo around your head, though.
