A darker look to HDR. I have done most of the work in P.S.
Any CC is welcome.

Thanks for looking.

The first one doesn't do it for me, just personal taste, but the second is wonderfully spooky. Nice work!

I really like the effect on these images...which programs or methods do you use for your HDR's

I use photomatix just to tone map, the rest is all P.S work which IMO is the way to get good hdr images.
Hope this helps.

Is it? I just want to improve? There are many people out there with far better images, and I'd like to be at that standard and if possible help someone else, now that alone is worth the point.

cheryl thank you for your input my last comments to Jordon pointed out how i felt He/She was coming across there was nothing in the way of advice. I feel I was justified in my comments back. I have had no response to state I had taken this advice the wrong way. So i think it is best left as it was. Thanks for your comments Jon

PS. if you look more closely I have had more than one CC.

An image only tells a story if it "speaks" to the viewer, and every viewer is different, so it won't speak to everyone (whether the creator had a motive or not)... that's why art is subjective.

I think the first one is okay, but to me its mostly just a showcase of the processing technique. However, I really like the eerie mood of the second one, it makes me think of a painting and would look good printed (I would just touch-up some of the halos).

"stand away from that crowd and dig deep. " I think i did with this?
"ps... ah yes, the baby too. " if thats meant as a good thing then thank you.

Thanks for that Mike i shall try to sort the halo out.

The story would be different for each viewer.also why does there have to be a story? whats wrong with, just as you say "a pretty picture"?
Have a look at mad jon, i would be interested on you opinion there?

I like your technique... I like them both, but number 2 is by far the most dramatic.
