So this is my first post here. This was my first time using studio lights all by myself. It was outside and was dark by the time I had my stuff together, so this is what I got. Let me know what you think and what I can do better next time!

I used 1 strobe and a medium softbox, with Nikon D200 and 17-55 2.8 I believe. It was hard trying to focus and compose in the dark! Haha it was fun though.

Oh and PS my monitor sucks so the colors/exposure could be off!

Hey Lindsay, welcome to FM.

The shots look good to me. I quite like them actually, would maybe just want a bit more room for the arms in the first one.

I just checked out your website too, lots of good stuff there, especially your climbing shots. Some killer stuff. Hope to see some more posts from you

Welcome Lindsay,
The color looks fine on my monitor.
As your bg is dark and the boots are black, my first impression was that the feed were amputated, particularly on #1
Good shoots,
Luis

Hello and welcome to this forum.
I hope you enjoy your time and participation here.

My Simple Suggestion: next time, have the model stand.

Reason: the seated poses cause some problems with the truncated look to the figure (see above the feet are missing) and the "knees to chest" pose is not flattering to most women or men etc.

I hope that comment helps you.
