I did this moon shot yesterday...any input is really appreciated it

shot with Canon 40D
Lens-Canon 100-400mm
FL-400mm
ISO-200
Shutter speed- 1/100 sec.
F.Number--F/5.6

Pretty impressive. Quite nicely detailed and sharp. Isnt it a great lens?

A bit of a halo especially along the right side of the moon. Probably from some light being picked up in the atmosphere. I guess the question is whether to keep it or surround the moon in sheer black.

thanks Scott, the lens is awesome I love it....
the halo on the right side of moon is probably because i was shooting at 4 PM and it wasn't dark yet but the moon looked pretty on a bright sky...also another might be the clouds that kept messing my picture sometime....

I think this is a horrible shot. Just for that I'm not ordering you the 5D Mark II :P

JK I didnt see this one yet. Nicely done. I agree with the above poster about the halo.

I vote for "surround the moon in sheer black" because the halo is distracting. Beautiful shot. (And I dig the signature you made).
