Nice exposure. Excellent dof. Love the detail in the eyes and the horizontal crop works on this image. Nice job!

Great shot. 7, 8 years old? Did you do any PP work?

Nice exposure and white balance.

Can you give deatail on camera, lens and settings? Time of day?

thanx

The white showing through the brim of his hat could use a little PS. I think it is a nice shot.

Really nice. The colors with the eyes, vignette and the dof works great.

thanks guys!

paw, he is 3.5 years old!! damn, now i guess he really isnt a 'baby' anymore! camera was 5D, lens 100 macro, time of day was 3ish and overcast. pp was done mainly in lightroom.

liam, good point...that is why my wife and i have a 'no hobby' rule in the middle of the day (unless kids are sleeping).

that's a good rule-it's also a good shot-but then, wouldn't have expected anything less

Nice eyes. Good color coordination between eyes, clothing, and background also. This really adds to the picture.

Good shot, Chuck. The macro lens has more than one use, eh?

I see this as a bit of a 'look down' shot. Try some at his level too for variety. (I know, you probably already did, but others read this too.)
