I only recently got a 90mm Elmarit R and I'm sold. I've been thinking of getting a 35mm Cron and these images seal it for me. Thanks for sharing.

I received my 90mm f2 today!!!! So excited, however, focusing is stiffer than Zeiss lenses, is that normal?

Not sure, from memory a little stiffer than the 50/1.4ZF I had, but not substantially, they do loosen up. I'd say it's an indication that your lens has seen very little use and been stored in a cool environment!

The 90mm Elmarit R is not too shabby either. I did some softening of this image in PP and it still demonstrates great sharpness and contrast.

Although Leica has dumped the R line, these lenses still have plenty to offer.

Thanks for sharing.

I have grown to really like this lens a lot. I find the focus ring just right. I also have the elpro 3 close-up lens, which I think works well with this lens. The first two shots are wide open and the third I believe is stopped down to f/2.8. The first shot is just the plain lens and the last two are with the elpro 3.
