Hmmm..... If the point of this post was to show that IQ is very close, it did just the opposite for me. It looks like a marked improvement in resolution to me. |

everybody it has the right to an opinion,so I respect yours;mine is that finally 50D has all the features that should have the xxD series from the start! A 9 cross-type AF sistem and microadjustment AF,and weather sealing improovement is very welcome1 |

I think 20D/30D to 50D is a good upgrade and many will do that, but 40D -> 50D is questionable value I'm sure for many. |

I have a 30D and a 40D. If anything, I'd sell the 30D in favor of another 40D. I'm very pleased with the performance of the 40D, and see absolutely no reason to upgrade "just because...." |

Im ditching my old 1d's, and picking up 2 50ds. Granted, the 50d is slower than the 1d and not as well built, but the high ISO is a godsend for photojournalists on a budget. |
