It's a mis-spelled EOS 1000D.

It's a specialist camera with automatic typo-detection. You point it at your monitor and a little red square lights up around any typos on the page. Didn't you read the announcement?

It's an old D-SLR of the first generation before the 1D. Kodak co-production. Have EOSfun!

Nah, there are two cameras there, 6000D and 2000D, both without pictures. Canon be messing with our minds!

I didn't realise there was anything inbetween the Kodak DCS1 and the D30. We live and learn.

People have been predicting the demise of Canon for 60 years. It's just stupid to keep doing so.

3.6 Million Yen was $29,160 (based on the December 1998 exchange rate of 0.0081 Yen to USD).

That's incredible. I wonder how many of these suckers sold?

Canon is actually more like the IBM of Japan. They get more patents every year than any other Japanese company. Nikon is nowhere near the size or research budget that Canon has. Nikon has been rumored to financially strapped for years.

As you can see, I keep pumping my hard earned money into that “well oiled machine” and I think I’d like keep doing it …….
