"Anti-Shake feature built-in camera" - So Sony makes the canon body too now?

I really hope whatever canon releases its a new focus system with more then 9 points..I think its time they up the game on that in the cameras below the 1D..Like it or not that is one of the big features of the D300/D700 so they gotta compete with that

That looks to be pretty solid proof there.
So at least we can confirm one camera for this years photokina.

If this is as accurate as the ages of some of the Chinese Olympics team gymnasts, then I'm sure this is trustworthy.

Anyway, if true - that's kickass. The AF fine tuning is awesome (D300 already has it), and if properly implemented, then it'll save Canon's service centers lots of warranty repair work. Since the D300 can save AF fine-tuning for upto 20 lenses, I'm hoping the Canon can do the same or at least 10. The 15.1 megapixels on the same sensor sucks!

ISO12800? Oh thank God this place is on the internet. If this were real life, I think I would slap the next person that creates a baseless rumor thread.

I'm still hoping for a 5D replacement to be announced for Photokina.

Shutter life of 10 million? I smell bogus

Yeah ... that shutter life seems like a joke. Maybe our Chinese friends in Canon are messing with us.

I think something may have gotten messed up with the google translate. This information is coming from Canon's own website:
http://www.canon.com.cn/products/camera/eos/50d/overview.html

I think that would make this more credible than a 'baseless rumor'.

I suppose we'll see next week.

I found the actual spec. 100,000 is the correct number..

run this through google translate:

http://www.canon.com.cn/products/camera/eos/50d/info3.html

"Rugged magnesium alloy body, the life of the shutter to about 100,000,
With easy to grip, persistent excellence of the fuselage, can be assured shooting. "

It also states that it has a 3" LCD screen, 920,000 pixels... so a higher density LCD a la Nikon's newer bodies.

Not all countries use the same decimal placement as in North America.
Agreed it's 100,000.

100,000 ... sounds sane. Great find "jarnold". Hopefully the spec-chasers (including myself) will give it a rest now.

Anyone notice the "Anti-Shake feature built-in camera".

That'd be HUGE (and it would undercut IS lens sales tremendously.

http://www.canon.com.cn/products/camera/eos/index.html This does not show the 50d.
Assuming though that that's somehow masked info, there is a typo which I doubt that even Canon China will make: Degital instead of Digital
Hmmm.
We shall see
