I think if you post a 5D2 rumor thread, you should have to punch yourself in the face.

We'll believe you when one of these leaks becomes reality. Weren't there reliable sources about 4/29? 6/2?

Just about the only factor going for these persistent 5D rumors is that the 5D was a 2005 announcement. Just keep guessing and you'll be right some day - just don't crow about it.

After all, I predict the sun will rise tomorrow.

Grammatically the topic title stands. It's a colloquial form of "to be announced" or "will be announced".
"In the next 10 days" eliminates any temporal ambiguity.

Even when contracted, our beloved N. American tongue ought to make sense.

Edit: Ooops, made a faux pas......Mexican Spanish is also a major Norte American tongue.

These posts kill me because I'm waiting for a 5D replacement...so I feel obligated to read every one at least once to see if...MAYBE...it's the real deal.

Dissapointed every time. Don't know what I'll do if I see a post with a link to Canon's website with actual specs.

There was also the Israeli Nikon shooter with Canon insider information...

Where the hell do people come up with this crap? When I was in Baltimore, I ran into a guy who said that there was a sku and everything for it, and it would be called the 7D. I asked where he read it, and I think he said dpreview.com forums... Way to be a winner.

There is a better chance the next Bigfoot sighting will be real than the next 5D replacement rumor.

No 5D announcement until just before Photokina, but 50D this week!

Nope. Best is to ignore the Canon gear section in the run-up to the big shows, notably Photokina and PMA. Alas, that renders the gear section useless for about 50% of the time. The other option is to always drink a beer before visiting. Doesn't change the amount of rumor-posts at all but it makes it just a bit more bearable and you get to post great beer-bottle shots as an added boon

I agree. Taken with a Minolta Rokkor 58/1.2 on an over-the-hill, decrepit, pre-Photokina 5D:

I don't care when it comes out. I just bought a trans am that my wife did not approve of, so spending money on a new camera is out of the question right now. If it comes out soon that will be torture.

Yes and bigfoot was found deceased and stuffed in a freezer then they took a a picture of it with the new minolta full frame digital that uses punch cards instead of flash memory.

Well folks at least here you are able to read all those rumors.
If you have a need keep looking right here, on PN EOS forum all
references to any new version Canon 5D are removed by the moderator
I must assume on order by you can guess.
