I am looking for a good ND filter. Ideally I want to be able to shoot a scene mid-day at f/11 or slower and be able to use a shutter speed of a min or less. My ND6 requires me to shoot for nearly for half an hour even at ISO 3200 and gives off a strange color cast...in short quite useless. Can anyone recommend a ND filter that will suit my needs.

Regards,

Chris

something is really wrong if you have to do that long an exposure with ND6.

that's not ND.6, it's ND6 - basically a black hole in the nd filter world.

then why did you get a 20 stop filter? do some math using sunny f16 rule and you will see that you need a 10 stop filter, a ND3.

Sunny 16: On a sunny day proper exposure would be - shutter speed of 1/ISO @ f16.
