Three very intersting captures! I think if you darken these up a bit they will post much better.
First shot would be better compositionally better if there was more room in the direction the bird is looking, nice setting though.
Second shot, I give you all the credit in the world on that capture for both the swallow and the insect on the fly! Very cool capture.
Third shot witht the red dragon is neat, you can tell the swallow had her eyes on it!

Great start, just a little darker posting and these would come alive, hope to see more from you Justin!

Some very nice shots, Justin. I would agree with Karl's helpful hints and critique. That second shot is definitely special. You really caught that one at just the right moment.

I agree with others that # 2 is a wonderful shot & that you darken your shots a tad.

Hey welcome aboard, most of us lurked a lot longer than a week! I really like that the second shot. I agree with the comment about the comp in #1, have you considered a vertical crop close to the tail? Just a thought.

Hi Justin.
Welcome to the forum, nice entry, post a little darker, as others have said. Remember, everyone, had to start from somewhere, sometime, all these great photographers-didnt to it the first try/day.
Cheers

I too think you've hit the ground here running, Justin. Though like Karl says, perhaps you can lessen the highlights and darken things just a tad to make them "pop" more, particularly #1. That #2 Swallow Just Before the Swallow is fabulous. Great timing there! Hope to see more of your work here, the folks here are right nice and helpful with their advice...

Best Wishes,
Steve

Like how you caught the bird moments before the catch in #2. Awesome timing on that one!

Excellent start Justin. #2 is spectacular. I could spend 5 days straight shooting Swallows and not get a shot even close to that. Heck just getting one in focus is a feat. Very impressive.
