I went out with my inflatable kayak. I used the 300mm with the 2x.

Great shots, especially considering your 'on the water' shooting position.

Very nice, Rob! Keep up the "from the kayak" posts as I need the encouragement to finish the last stages of building a stitch-and-glue mahogany kayak . I really like #1 with the dark bg, and #4 Kingfisher-In-Flight is a winner for sure, always a tough shot to get...

Best Wishes,
Steve

hmm I don't see any kayak shots or shots of Kayaks.
The name of the post is Kayak Shots.........................

These shots are good, but I was really looking forward to the images of a kayak

Opps no shots of the Kayak yet. I will see what my wife will do for that, but here is a link of the kayak I use. Model AE-1012-r. I really enjoy it for photography. The front deck is easily reachable to the dry bag where the camera is. I have a duffel style dry bag, so it stays straped to the deck while I use the camera. I have a few accessories also that make the kayak a bit better in my opinion.

My kayak model AE-1012-R

Thanks for the comment

Well I originally was looking at the Soar1

But they are around 1500 bucks and for the most extreme white water rafting.
I ran into someone that owns the same model you have but the two seater.....

I may PM you with a bunch of questions

Hope you don't mind

Thanks for the link and info

Great series Rob... that float boat really gets you up close and personal. I have a Pungo plastic kayak that has never seen the water... I'd love to take it out, but I'm scared to death to risk it with my cameras... I might get brave one of these days.
