A good friend and co-worker recently commissioned me to take some photos of him and his place. He's been living out on Folly Beach, South Carolina for the past seven years and his time there is up. He has a very strong connection with the ocean, both physical and spiritual. Just looking for a little feedback here. I went black and white to eliminate any interference from colors as they can suggest things when we do not want them to. Also, instead of airbrushing blemishes, stubble, etc., I enhanced them by sharpening the photo. I felt like all of these things would contribute to his story. This time in his life. |

This works for me. You've definitely captured a pensive look on his face and especially in his eyes. |

A nice portrait and conversion Matthew, did you take any of him near the ocean to help with the connection. |
