Alan,
First off, this is magnificently captured. I love the quietness of the streets and the lack of energy brought forth by people. The buildings and sky have their own energy and there seems to be plenty of it.

Second, you seem to be the leading voice in HDR photography here. (No offense to anyone else, but it appears that this guy has HDR down, literally, to a science). Is there a good starting point for me to explore HDR? Maybe a tutorial of sorts that I can learn from? Every time I try to do HDR, I end up with this Solarized effect on my image. I'm just wondering what I might be doing wrong. I realize you're probably busy, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Matthew

Wow, brilliant. I'm assuming the tilt is intentional?

I love this. It's like a neutron bomb came and went, and all that's left are the buildings, unchanged. Wonderful capture and conversion.

Thank You Matthew, for such kind comments, HDR is very frustrating. Always remember less is more? I am by no means an expert, and make mistakes pretty much all the time, but you must continue to experiment and discover . I don't have any secrets regarding my processing and I have documented all my work flows on my web site. www.yungaphotography.com. Let me know how you get on, if you get stuck send me a PM

All the best Alan

Was here fairly early to avoid people, only saw the security guard who tipped his hat and said morning
