Here we have an image that is pretty much b/w, 80% actually, if I recall correctly. I enjoyed the dimension that not making the channel mixer layer a full 100% opacity provided.

This lighthouse is nonoperational and sits on a pier close to the "mainland", beside a sort of channel that extends out into Lake Ontario. There is another lighthouse at the end of the pier that is actually operational. Too bad that the city has put up a fence around the one in the image. The two guys must have remained pretty still, as the exposure was 25 seconds. I thought about taking them out but did not tackle it. Maybe at a future point.

C&C is always appreciated. Something different from the animal faces series (though rest assured it is still in progress )

Really like the shot, composition, maybe a little dodge on the top of the lighthouse to bring it out.

Thanks Gavin, Tom and Sam.

Gavin, I'll have to look at the top of the lighthouse more - I had brought it out slightly already here, though just enough to make it visible. Thank you again.

Hey Paul, happy Simcoe Day to you. Nice lighthouse image, I always thought Port Dalhousie was along the north shore of Lake Erie, near Port Colborne, then googled the it and realized it is near St. Catherines.

Thanks very much Alan, Steven and Jude.

Steven, before I started dating a girl that lives in St. Catharines, whenever someone mentioned "Port" I always assumed Port Colborne. I sort of live almost right between the two. I work and go to school in St. Catharines though so I'm around Port Dalhousie a lot more now.

Happy belated Simcoe day to you - down here though, it's just "August Civic Holiday".
