After careful consideration I purchased Capture One v4 instead of Bibble Pro. I am pretty happy so far (very short period of time).

One thing Bibble allows that C1 doesn't is third-party plug-ins - and there were a couple I liked. One in particular is called "Andy", and it has severl presets for B&W film simulation. It was really handy (no pun intended).

Is there such a thing for C1? Anyone know?

I know every shot has a default of "Film Standard" and there are a couple of other options - but the B&W settings pretty much seem to remove color and not much else. The ones in Bibble really make it look like film - and offer options such as film emulsions, different papers, different processing parameters, etc.

I would like to be able to do the same thing in C1. An alternative would be to do it in Photoshop Elements, but that doesn't work well if there is more than one shot to apply it to (i.e. batch).

Thanks
-Glenn

I've used C1 for the past few years. It is really not designed for film emulation. I think that you would be happier with Alien Skin Exposure 2 in PSE. They have a demo.

Thanks. I will take a look. I discovered OptikVerve Lab's VirtualPhotographer filters - pretty good.... but will look at Alien Skin.

Thanks

No, C-1v4 does not have that capability. That's something you'll have to do in PS.

I looked up Alien Skin Exposure 2 - looks right up my alley except for the price... ouch! I guess it's fair for what it does - but I think I'll stick with what i've got for now, thanks.
