Has anyone purchased Thom Hogan's d300 guide? I'm thinking about purchasing it to familiarize myself more with my new camera |

I bought it for my parents, and have used it a bit myself. Knowledgeable, informative no-nonsense stuff, worth every cent. |

What's good about it? Like .... I might get one, too. |

IMO save your money and just read the manual. The camera is pretty easy to figure out and there are tons of free online stuff about the camera. |

I was having a problem figuring out how to bracket more than one stop in either direction, asked Nikon they said it couldn't be done. Nikon also said that they might do it in a software upgrade.Tom explains it and 3 or 5 exposures are possible. Worth every cent. Len |

I bought one of Thom's guides for the D200 before buying the camera to get an in-depth view of how it worked and what the capabilities were. I was not disappointed ineither the camera or the guide. I still use it from time to time for fine points. A worthwhile investment. |

His books are comprehensive, and a good future resource. |
