This tree has been a part of our daily view for as long as I can remember. It woke up early as heck yesterday morning to watch the sun rise with me.



This is my first contest post. I plan to use this as a chance to re-explore the photography I used to love, and learn my new D40 inside and out.

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen. Those are most definitely clouds, as the house sits at 3,600 feet on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

A beautiful sunrise, this shot was worth the loss of sleep, it's quite lovely. The silhouette of the tree is very nice.
