These twigs/stems originally evolved to help the plant climb upwards but occasionally they like to meet with each other and just "shake hands"…..

Happy shooting,

That is really beautiful, Yakim. Excellent shot and perfect for the WA topic. I love the soft green glow you captured. We'll see this in the finals, Im sure.

All the best,

Endre

The soft green glow is actually a low power flash. I don't really like flash but after several shots in which the colours were a bit dull I thought it would be a good idea to add it. I'm glad to see you look at it the same way.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Flash is just another source of light. Whatever works is what works. Right? My famous broken egg shot that won some photography awards was done with my flash bouncing off the ceiling in an otherwise dim room. http://www.endresphotos.com/-/endresphotos/gallery.asp?cat=35549&pID=1&row=7 Nobody believed me when I said it was all I used. I tend to use natural light whenever possible but if the flash accomplishes your goal then it makes no difference. In this case, the flash provided you with a lovely light. Bravo!

All the best,

Endre

This is a stunning shot Endre, which is further emphasised by the fact that it's an everyday item.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.
