A hot and hazy day here at this nest in North Falmouth Cape Code where the parents are raising twins. They both look really good and I watched the female feed both for quite a time. I was able to keep a safe distance even though many people pass the nest on the road as due to the heat I did not want to disturb them. I have a nice spot the property owners let me park my wagon so I can stay behind the wagon and just lay my 500 or 800 on the roof and stay hidden behind the Outback. The male did a few fly bys but with the hazy whitish skies I knew would just yield poor photos but like all of us I did anyway. They are in the trash bin now.

Thanks Lil No that is another nest I watch as I have about 15 or so to try and keep up with and two with triplets. Some are really tough as they are a long way in the marsh and every time I try to enter any of the marsh's I get covered with ticks. Most of the time I am fighting a haze as the weather is really HOT AND HUMID The lady that ownes the Cockatoo did come over to me one day and she thanked me very much for the print. I'll tell you Lil an 8X10 glossy goes a long way for free parking in a great spot.

Actually mrcolin2u this is a small nest compare to some I have to watch. I actually went into the marsh while they were working on this nest and I gathered a bunch of sticks for them off a dead tree and caried them over to the base at low tide while the both of them sat and watched me. But you know something as soon as I left the marsh and went back to the wagon to start picking off the Ticks they went down and were picking them up. Here take a look at these two from the past and thanks for the look

Thanks Herb and yeah you picked a nice one as I like it also and it will be printed for a show here in Sandwich in October. These birds are a big deal here on Cape Cod as are the landscapes of the beaches and lighthouses.

Thanks Nellio, yeah most are doing good and so far I have only lost two nests, one from human disturbance and the second I don't know why but I think the mateing just did not produce what it should.

Thanks Chris, yes they will be doing it soon I just hope all this heat and humidity that they can handel it. Weather has really been hot this year.All the nests I'm watching seem to be all about the same size so I am expecting fledgeing all about the same time. Too many nests and too many birds and gas too high and of cause too hot.
