This was from a Senior photo shoot a couple of months ago. Since I have been on a smudge painting kick I thought I would try this one. I rushed through this one a bit so the hair isn't quite perfect, but my office was getting too hot with the setting sun so I needed to finish.

I like this photo, It has a lot of things going for it. It's simple and yet it has a lot of drama? I like the way you captured the photo. The background is subtle and soft but you have enough cripsness on the face. It's a great shot.

Could you elaborate on your smudge painting technique? I really like the job you did on this image.
