M8 + Voigtländer 28/2 Ultron @ f/2:

I used the Ultron 28/2 for a short week once, trying to use it as a normal lens on a G1. I loved the images, really liked the bokeh, and finally had to return it due to the problems with smeared edges and corners. Those Leica "offset" microlenses are a bless I assume.

The corners are not very sharp on M8, but OK for anything I do. I think there's some curvature of field too. Distortion is virtually absent on the APS-H sensor!

Unfortunately, that's not possible since the rear lens element is ~15 mm from the film/sensor plane.

Voigtlander needs to make a 20/2 or 20/1.4 in some SLR mount for $1100.

and a nice compact 75/1.4 APO to complement the 40/1.2 which they also need to make
