Hey im after one of these lil things, you might know of one stored away unused?

I bought my old 1n with the pb-e1 grip so I never had the original bodys grip...

Please PM me.

Thanks, Cale.

I looked for awhile and couldn't find a used one. Called Canon parts and got the GR-E2 for $30.18 plus shipping. The GR-E1 is actually more expensive which is strange because the E2 is newer and has additional weather sealing around the battery compartment.

You will also want to get the round connector cover (about $2) as the connector will be exposed when you remove your PB grip and you'll want to cover it up to keep dust/dirt out of the connector. It's a small round threaded piece w/ a slot in the middle that fits a coin so you can easily put it on or take it off.

good luck.

Yes. In Australia the company for Canon parts is called Parts Overnight. Look them up on directory assistance (Phone 12455) or call Canon to get thier number

Didnt really have much luck with Canon Australia, seems the parts are possibly discontinued?

With parts overnight they sent me a whole massive brochure wanting me to point out the parts that make up the gr-e2 grips, anyone possibly know which exact parts i need?

Cale.

Cale,

I have the part numbers at home. I'll email you tonight (from California, USA) w/ the numbers for the GR-E2 grip and power booster connector cover. If you can't get them from Parts Overnight, I'll look into getting them here and shipping them to you ... though I suspect that will cost quite a bit more than using Parts Overnight so let's try to get you the parts locally first. You'll also need a battery. I purchased mine from B&H.

Cale,

Here are the part numbers from my Canon USA invoice. Hope Parts Overnight can get them to you using these numbers:

GR-E2 grip for 1v, 1n, 3
Part Number CG1-3760-000 (Grip Unit ACF-1229)

Coupler Cover (to cover the PB power connector)
Part Number CA1-9080-000 (Cover, Coupler)

You will also need this battery:
2CR5 6v Lithium Battery

Good luck, let me know if you can order them locally using these numbers.

I'm not seeing the grip in the 1N parts file. Let's get the 1V parts file as the GR-E2 is the newer grip that was released w/ the 1V. If it's not in there, I sent you a link to a UK company that sells them. Getting closer....
