Does anyone have any user opinions on the Konica Minolta 17-35mm Zoom Lens f2.8-4.0.

I am looking at picking up a sony for a fairly decent price and was wondering if this was a good lens as it was being offered as part of the package.

What can one expect to pay for this lens and how good is the image quality... will it be a good lens if sony decided to finally release a full frame SLR ?

Are there any other zooms that may be worthwhile in the Konica Minolta system ?

Thanks in advance for your input.
TY

I think it has the same optical construction as the Tamron 17-35/2.8-4 lens. I wouldn't expect it to be great for FF, but it might be decent.

The Minolta 28-70/2.8, 80-200/2.8 APO are excellent. The 100-300/4-5.6 APO should be a good little performer on FF digital also.
