Susi Lawson recently posted a very nice Dragan effect here.

I've been trying for a similar look for a while. When I saw Tanglefoot47's shot of his step-father that Susi used, I thought it would be a good one to work on. So here is the result. I'd love to get your feedback.

Sorry about the writing on the image. I borrowed the small original image Susi posted to work from. Many thanks to Mike Bustad (Tanglefoot47) for allowing me to play.

I think this is one of the best techniques I have seen. I can't get over on how it resembles a painting/pen&ink/watercolor... everything wrapped into one image.

please elaborate on how you achieved it.
