Anybody use the video cable that came with the 5D to get a larger picture transfered to a TV? I tried hooking it up to a DVD player, but the yellow video plug was too loose. I also tried it on two TVs with no luck. I went up and down the channels with this cable hooked in from my camera to TV. Followed the directions. What's the trick? |

I don't have the video cable in front of me, but I think it is a standard RCA plug. For most TV's, there should be an option to select input source, like video-1 or video-2. If you are going up and down the channels looking for this input (ie. channel 3), that only works if you are plugging into the RF connection which is the plug-in for either your antennae, your vcr, or your cable tv. Also, make sure your camera is turned on and set to the review mode. |

I use this all the time. You have to select the input source of the tv. Do not fool with the channels. |

I use it all the time as well, no problems at all. |

OK, got it. Thanks. I had the review time in-camera off for shooting. On the old TV sets the image is terrible. There is a video on The Strobist where the photographer hooks into a DVD player. Any use a DVD player with the 5D, and if so what brand? The Canon input cable wasn't designed for the one I have. Maybe there's an adaptor. |
