Just think of the SPEED at which you can manually WB scenes now!

I have refrained from using gray cards, ExpoDiscs, etc simply due to the time involved in their implementation. With this approach, you can get very, very close by just whipping the thing out and slapping it onto the end of the lens in a few seconds.

I wonder how a white hanky would work, if you wanted to keep one folded in your pocket at all times.

Does anyone make a step up adapter for my big lenses?

Guys, it's not April 1st just yet.
Must I presume that you tightened the paper against the front of the lens (filtered?) or did it shoot right through the fold crease, making it even more amazing.

From now on I'm telling my models to show up with white panties, just in case I need an emergency filter.

I'll be damned but it works. I tried this at my daughters' basketball game today.
I read this thred yesterday at work so I went inot the break room and got several of the large coffee filters. They are big enough to use on my 300 f-2.8.
I wonder if those wire baskets work too?

When will the Hickspodisc Mark II be released and what is its expected street price?

The Hickpodisc with its fancy red stripe and UV glass is starting to sound a little too patrician. When is Larry going to come out with an EF-S all plastic model ??

By definition the Hickpodisc, which is an L model, is not going to be plastic. The EF-S model is based on decaf filters The Mk II will carry 6 layers of filters instead of 3, and will be introduced at a higher price than anyone of you'd expected. It is almost as good as the Hickspodisc Ds which is the only full frame coffeefilter (that means it fits the 1200 mm/5.6) . I am still waiting for a DO slimline version with a green band
