This may be a "greenhorn" or dumb question but it's one that has me a little confused.

I'm in the process of getting professional prints done, mounted and laminated to aluminum for an exhibition locally. This is my first serious attempt at this and I'm going to try and get other galleries interested in my work as well.

My question is this. What is the most professional way to mark ones work with one's name? I've seen some photographers in the past sign the bottom corner of their work with a silver pen, some have signed the mat, some not at all. Do I even sign the prints? Is this practice obsolete or outdated? I simply want to look as professional as possible.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
