Wanted to know if anyone has a good method for removing some ink smear from a print. I printed some images on 13x19 canvas and I think because it was so thick there was a little ink smear on the corner along the border area. Is there some solution or method to remove this short of cutting out the border? It'd be a waste to remove the edge or to toss the print since everything else came out fine. Suggestions? |

I think the solution is to toss it and print it again so nobody has a different option for you. |

I'm sure many of us have had this happen. |

I would also be interested to know. I have a pack of Crane Museo SIlver Rag and my R2400 consistently smears the ink on the right corner. ( does not do it for any other paper) I do not need to separate good ink from bad as the smear is on the border I leave for matting/framing |

It sounds like your paper may have some curl to it. You may try to carefully "decurl" the trailing end before printing. Other options is using a little larger paper so you can cut it off. |

I'm talking about ink along the side of a print, there's some assumption about separating good ink from bad when this isn't the case. Yes, one thing I can do as VladKenner has done is to use the border area for framing but it still would be nice to find a solvent or cleaner that can get rid of it just for a cleaner appearance when not being framed. Certainly throwing it out is an option, but that's not very helpful advice I thought there's more creative suggestions than that. |
