Got out to Wakodahatchee Wetlands over the weekend and found this baby Tricolor Heron. I don't believe he is over a day old as he still had the 'bobble head' every time he looked around.

What a find....

I would have argued the age due to the open eyes... But seeing the other eggs - - no discussion. MY Lovebirds are born with their eyes closed. I just thought . . . . BUt I guess that's all individual within each specie....

You could very well be correct Lil, I was just going by the fact that his neck was so obviously weak.

To clarify, the eggs are on another nest.
