The older contax zeiss 25/2.8 lens was found to be closer to a 26mm lens?
Is the same true of the newer zeiss zf or is it a true 25mm lens...and therefore closer to the normal 24mm focal length.

Cheers.

The ZF 25mm f2.8 lens is, in fact, 25.7mm ...

... and the ZF 28mm f2.0 lens is actually 28.5mm.

Most lenses aren't exactly the focal length they claim.

Marc,

The data sheets (MTF) give info about the exact focal length.

The link to those Zeiss data sheets for those who don't have it.

out of interest it would be great to see the real world field of views of the difference between the 25 and 28mm lenses...anyone have some interior shots taken from the same place with these two lenses? ( I cant find data for the cy lenses but assume the cy and zf are the same in term of focal length)

(I know I could do a comparison myself between my c/y 28mm and 25 on a zoom but it would be good to see correct comparisons.
