I finally managed to process some pics I took during my recent trip to Central and Eastern Florida. I'm still so backed though. These were taken with the 300mm and the 70-200 f/4 IS since I didn't take the 500mm with me.
C&C welcome,
Socrate

He's baaaackkk!! And with a massive vengeance!! Socrate, you did out do yourself. These are ALL splendid, ah my freind once again up with the bar. Where do I start? Flawless PP, gorgeous whites, comps, grace, beauty and just plain pizazz. 2 wonderful portrait, 3 great work with the color, 4 and 5, I'm a sucker for the breeding plumage, cormie looks like a bomber(may be if you are not lucky) 7, you nailed that one, 9 a piece of art at the least.

Superbirdtastic.

Tim

Some stunning shots Socrate! Each one is special in it's own right, but if I absolutely had to pick a favorite, it would be 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9, with 1, 4, 6 and 10 coming in a very close second! Excellent work Sir!

sweet Socrate, love the tri-color with reflection and the cattle egret portrait.

Can't you just stay up all night for a few days and catch up on pp?

Splendid work on these shots Socrate. A few standouts to me are #2, #5, #8, #9. The reflecting Tricolor is a real knockout That has to be the softest most flattering light on the egret portrait, love it man!

Wow..Super captures Soctate. Why do you want a 500mm? Super job on whites. Cannot select a favorite. All are equally nice.

Wow! A fantastic set of images. All are great, but these 3 really stand out for me.

I love the background in #8.

The colors in #2 are very vibrant.

#5 has great expression.

Socrate

These are stunning to put it mildly. My favorites are the tricolored with reflection and the Great egret in flight.

Great series. Image quality, color composition everything is spot on. My only complaint would be the cormorant - I can see some glow around the bird (something I am not used to seeing from your work Socrate ). My favorite would probably be the portrait of the cattle egret.

I keep thinking about getting a 300/2.8 for use instead of my 400 f/5.6 but I don't think I could ever sell the 400 f/5.6 So many lenses, so little money.
