I am working on improving my photoshop skills, especially fashion/magazine type of retouch. Take a look at the pictures, and fire away.... I am only after comments on the photoshop job on the picture.

Very much improved from original.

I think you need lots of cropping to get eyes 1/3 down.

I am not that good at retouching but it looks great to me. I will send you my picture and you can make me look good [good luck on that]

Not my area of expertise, and you might want to post this additionally on the People forum. Quite an improvement with your PS work!
Skin smoothing looks very good.
I'd clone out a bit of the stray hairs, especially on her right and by her right ear.
Hair looks a bit dark (on my uncalibrated work monitor.
I think you may need a bit more sharpening of the eyes, and a bit more work on the sclerae (white areas of the eyes). Left inner sclera is a bit too white. I think you went to far with that. Right inner eye is a bit too pink. Try to lightening the sclerae but with more balance preserved between the two.

Thank for your comments!

Seems like I lost some sharpness when I converted and resized the tif file... The eyes are definitely sharper on the original image.

Agree about the stray hairs, and also about the sclerae (new word for me...), IŽll put some more work into those things and post a new one. IŽm planning another image but with a more suitable pose for the purpose, IŽll keep your suggestions in mind for that one.

Glad it helped.
I guess it's "the whites of the eyes", but I'm a physician, so I tend to think of the medical term.

Overall I think you did a great job. However the make-up to me feels a bit overdone. Her clothing and hairstyle would imply a much more natural make-up, like someone just coming from the gym. Lip gloss with a hint of color, very light eyeliner maybe, slightly less blush and neutral eye shadow. If she was wearing an evening dress, what you have would be spot on. I actually would love to buy the lipstick color that you used!

Lighten up under the eyes a bit more, so she looks a little more well rested. Good job overall!
